These terms apply to your use of skgeosolutions.com and to freelance assignments undertaken by SK Geo Solutions ("I", "me"). A specific written agreement for an assignment takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.
Nature of the services
SK Geo Solutions is an individual freelance initiative. Services are provided personally on a part-time, project-based basis, subject to availability and applicable employment obligations. SK Geo Solutions is not a staffed consultancy firm and does not operate a testing laboratory.
Engagement and scope
- Work begins only after the scope, deliverables, schedule and fee are agreed in writing (email is sufficient).
- Changes to the scope, data or timeline are agreed in writing and may change the fee or schedule.
- I may decline any assignment, including one that would create a conflict of interest or require the use of confidential information without authorisation.
Fees and payment
Fees, payment stages and applicable taxes are set out in the written agreement for each assignment. Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable within 15 days of issue.
Your information and data
- You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of data, reports and drawings you supply, and for having the right to share them.
- Interpretations and deliverables depend on the quality and extent of the data available. Limitations are stated in the deliverables where relevant.
- Physical testing, drilling and other field operations are carried out by third parties under separate arrangements and are not part of my services unless expressly agreed.
Confidentiality
Project information you provide is kept confidential and used only for the assignment. It is not shared with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.
Intellectual property
On full payment, you may use the agreed deliverables for the project they were prepared for. I retain ownership of my general methods, templates and know-how, and may refer to the general nature of the work in a portfolio without disclosing confidential details.
Professional reliance and liability
- Deliverables are prepared for the agreed purpose and should not be relied on for any other purpose or by any other party without my written consent.
- Geological interpretations and classification inputs are not final engineering designs. Designs must be prepared, checked and approved by the responsible qualified engineers.
- To the extent permitted by law, my total liability for an assignment is limited to the fee paid for that assignment, and I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Ending an assignment
Either party may end an assignment by written notice. Fees for work completed up to that point remain payable.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh have jurisdiction over any dispute.
